Lived trivia there until two people were letting their dogs roam aimlessly thru the brewery the entire time they are there. The brewery isn’t a dog park. You may love dogs but not everyone wants your dog coming up to them all night long. I won’t be going back.

Are they mad? Yes, but in the best way possible! You may come for the beer, but you get roped in by the atmosphere, the pizza truck, the events, and the all-around good feeling of folks having a nice time with each other. Making good beer may have got The Mad Swede Brewing Company on the map, but the rest of what they bring to the table, at the brewing location, makes their amazing brews go down even better. I came back to give them a visit after spending 7 months in the UK. I had to get another pizza and beer! To me, it was good enough to come back to for a visit.

Small tasting room, with a few spots at the bar and several tables. 2 or 3 TVs on the walls. Free popcorn. And dog friendly. It's all good if the dog people manage their dogs well enough. It's just ok. A decent watering hole if you live near it.

First of,this place was packed for trivia night. They had a great selection of beer and they had free popcorn, wich was a plus. There was only one bar tender for the whole place and she was doing a fantastic job getting to everyone efficiently. The beer was great and the price matched everything else. Great local brewery and bar. The only downside if you can even call it that was that it was a bit small but they did an amazing job at setting up extra tables in the back where the actual brewery was! Overall I would definitely come back and they even had a shuffle table to boot!

Poor selection of libations for people who can't drink beer. I like the beer but my wife can't drink beer and there was only one alternative which was cider. My wife drinks wine. There has been wine in the past. What gives?

Wonderful place and dog friendly. I do believe this is the nearest brewery near me. They make beer the way I like it: Hand crafted, traditional ingredients, a flare of local twist, and full bodied strength. You can get both beer and a few ciders by the glass or fill up a growler and enjoy it at home. I need to try every brew but the ones I have had the most are the Himinglaeva, Helm of Awe, Skullbanger, and Helhest. Mad Swede is really a nice place to relax and stock up on brews for the night or weekend.

I travel extensively. Have for years, checking out breweries as I wander this country. This is one of my favorite and will stick out in my memory as an unexpected and unique find. The beer is sublime, the space friendly and congenial, a great little outdoor sitting area, and a man behind the bar that is the perfect balance between attentive, informative, and entertaining. The one downside on this visit was that their pizza kitchen was down after a fire, which I was counting on for food when I headed here on my way east. So, that was disappointing but everything else was so good it gets a solid five-star rating.

Long overdue review. We’ve been coming here for several years. IMHO, Mad Swede is the best locally born and brewed beer selection in the Treasure Valley. Creative, broad, and nailed-it selection of beers, friendly staff, freshly popped popcorn, visiting food trucks, and tasty City Peanut Shop snacks. Make it your pre- or post-Costco trip the next time you’re out this way—it’s worth the stop.
