Big Bear Lodge

Loved staying here. Located just outside the Northeast entrance. It is just outside Cooke City Montana, a quiet little town. When you enter Yellowstone, you'll take a ride along the Lamar River, great fly fishing location. Also full of wildlife. We saw grizzly, buffalo, antelope, deer and loads of other wildlife. Can't say enough about our host Autumn. She's helpful, friendly and made us feel right at home. Would go back if we can.

Big Bear Lodge was a wonderful ending to a wonderful day as we left Yellowstone. Autumn treated us like an old friend and was so hospitable and kind. Having WiFi was a treat. The room was very clean and comfortable. It had a microwave and mini-fridge. The heater kept us very comfortable on such a cool night. The night view of the sky was such a treat. Breakfast in the morning felt like I was sitting at a friend's table.

A perfect location minutes away from the Yellowstone entrance and right at the start of the Beartooth Highway. Autumn was so friendly and accommodating when we asked to check in a little late. The Madison cabin was very cozy with a gas fireplace and rustic decor. The bathroom looked like it was recently remodeled. There was a great continental breakfast in the morning. We loved staying here and would certainly come back if we were in the area. Thanks Autumn!

Our stay at Big Bear Lodge was wonderful! The cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The owner was very helpful, kind, and accomodating. She cares about her guests, which is refreshing! The location is very close to the Yellowstone NE Entrance. Highly recommend!

Such a great place to stay in the middle of serene mountains. Mountain air is so fresh under the bright stars at night. Cabin is very authentic with nice old memorabilia. It is family owned and operated. The owner lady is very kind, professional and helpful. We are grateful.

What quaint rustic and quiet cabins! We stayed in Cabin Missouri. The beds were comfortable and the shower was HOT! Our cabin had fridge microwave and small coffee pot. Autumn (owner) was absolutely amazing and so kind! I will be back!

We stayed here for one night, the house itself is not bad, but the bathroom is terrible, there is no place to wash comfortably, and there was a lot of hair in the bedding. It is also stated that there is Wi-Fi, but it only works well in the office, not in the house itself. There is no connection anywhere else, and I think the price is very high. The only saving grace is the view from the small window. Also, breakfast is one name)There is very little that could be eaten, moreover, coffee may have to wait for about 20 minutes.

My son and I stayed here for 10 days June 2024. This place is exactly what we were looking for! We're avid wildlife watchers and wanted affordable lodging to get us as close to Lamar Valley in Yellowstone as possible. Big Bear Lodge was perfect. It's just outside of Cooke City, so you're only a few miles to the NE entrance. Our cabin was awesome, basic, clean and cozy! Having the full kitchen was so helpful and it had everything we needed. Autumn was so nice and accomodating. Will be staying there again this year for 2 weeks and we can't wait!
