We go here often and for good reason. Family owned and service is amazing. Food is fresh and delicious. Almost every option is well prepared and flavored. Place is cozy and bathrooms are clean. Perfect for a date or self dining or even a family gathering. Pricey but worth it. Neighborhood gem for sure.

We went on New Years Eve. I'm so glad I made reservations. It was packed! We ordered the calamari and porterhouse steak for two. The food was absolutely delicious! The service was great as well! We'll definitely be back!

I had the most amazing dining experience here! From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding—our server was so friendly and really made us feel welcomed. Now, let’s talk about the food—wow! The steak was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. It was cooked to perfection, juicy, and so flavorful. The Mac and cheese was ridiculously good—rich, creamy, and so comforting. And those Brussels sprouts? I didn’t expect to be wowed by veggies, but they were roasted to crispy perfection and packed with flavor. Everything was just spot-on, and the whole experience left me counting down the days until I can come back. Highly recommend!

Super yummy place and attentive friendly staff. It was the best steak of my husband’s life. He wished there was more portion size for the price, but I guess steak is expensive these days. I had the barrata chicken it was a huge portion size. It was very tasty. We got the creme brûlée for dessert and it was super good. Thank you for the best dining experience. The pictures speak for themselves. The Brussel sprouts were cooked to perfection.

We've heard about Stone House for a long time. A really enjoyable meal. Schoppe Salad was different and delicious, especially the vinegar cabbage. Mussels in white sauce was excellent. The right amount of garlic in the marinara sauce over 4 very large shrimp worked too. We won't wait so long to return. Oh... even the fries came out well done.

From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of character. The service was top-notch friendly, attentive, and made the entire experience feel personal. But the real star? The steak. Hands down, the best steak I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Every bite was unforgettable. I’m struggling to find the words to accurately describe the experience my wife and I had here this afternoon. From the moment they opened the door for us, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The menu immediately stood out as something to soak in and appreciate. The appetizers and main fare were a step far and above anything we have experienced. The dessert wine and cheesecake were heavenly. We can’t recommend this fine dining experience enough. Thank you to the wonderful staff of this amazing eatery. I highly recommend this gem of Mahopac. We will definitely see you again soon.

Stone House is a great restaurant with comfortable atmosphere, wonderful food and excellent service. Best of all, Stone House is open for lunch and dinner, whereas, many good restaurants these days are open for dinner only.
